How NYC Bodypainting Day Works…

SATURDAY, JULY 9th (rain date-7/10)
Dag Hammarskjold Plaza: 47th Street & 1st-2nd Avenues

1) REGISTRATION (11am-noon):
artists and models are matched up randomly and assigned a painting location
artists, models and event photographers sign a release form
artists are provided with all painting materials EXCEPT brushes
paired artists and models take a reference photo together
food tickets are provided, which can be used at food trucks on-site
artists receive wrist bands and models receive ankle bands for bus entry
artists and models go to assigned location in the cordoned off painting area
2) LIVE PAINTING (noon-4pm):
this time includes cleanup
artists who complete their paintings early can be assigned another model at registration if available
a large tented area will have snacks and drinks and can be used in case of rain
portable toilets will be on-site
buses empty at 2 locations for group photos and possible march through the streets
4) AFTER-PARTY (6:30-?)
a light dinner is provided
a hotel with a group rate will be available, located walking distance from the after-party

Through the website:

1) Artists, models and event photographers apply and are selected through the website
2) Artists and models fees are paid through the website
3) Prior to the event, artists are featured on the website: name, a sample of their work and a quote
4) After the event, artists are permanently featured on the website: name and photo of artwork from the event
5) Read-only versions of artist, model and photographer agreements will be available on the website prior to the event
